Though the prospect of promotion is embarrassing and the world’s obligatory process of pushing creative work, people’s babies really, out into the world, is nauseating…
That said, I am super proud of what we do live and in the studio! I’m deeply grateful to God, the universe, or whoever it is that sends me songs to write, sing and play! And it is a dream come true to get paid to do so!!!
Unfortunately, none of the above negates the fact that I would wholeheartedly prefer the Emily Dickinson approach…Work hard, be tough, brave, and true… Then leave it all in a drawer, only to be found, long after your dead…
In doing so, hopefully you’ve produced something the world feels is worth witnessing…Be it music, art. dance, literature, theater, or film…But, that is not the way the world works. So, I am relegated to being just another HUCKSTER!!!
